March 15, 2018
Since its inception in December of 1963, the Miami-Dade County Police Benevolent Association has been committed to protecting the rights of law enforcement personnel, promoting professional behavior, and building a better, safer community. The Miami-Dade PBA represents more than 6,500 law enforcement officers and provides services such as labor relations assistance and legal representation. The Miami-Dade PBA also hosts many events to honor and assist law enforcement officers in many different ways. Miami-Dade is a part of the Florida PBA, which represents more than 30,000 law enforcement officers across the state.

On February 21st, the Miami-Dade PBA hosted the Installation of Officers Ceremony that brought together professionals and guests from all walks of life. Several
Miami criminal lawyers attended the event, including Larry T. McMillan. Also in attendance were Director of the Miami Dade Police Department, Juan Perez, District 12 Commissioner Jose "Pepe" Diaz, and Miami-Dade mayor, Carlos A. Giménez. The event was hosted at the Firetower in Doral, Florida, and offered those in attendance the opportunity to witness the swearing-in ceremony and to meet newly-elected PBA President Steadman Stahl and the Board of Directors. The evening's event was a great success and served to highlight the pride and continued commitment the Miami-Dade PBA has to law enforcement officers in Miami-Dade County and to the Miami-Dade community.
