If you are caught with more than 20 grams of marijuana (but less than 25 pounds), then you face felony charges, up to five years in jail, and up to a $5,000 fineMIAMI – During a routine traffic stop, officers found a pound of pot stuffed inside a Barbie box, CBS Miami reports.

The story unfolded when a Florida Highway Patrol trooper noticed a vehicle with illegally tinted windows. The vehicle was driving along the I-75 near mile marker 98 when the trooper pulled R. Carlton McFaddon, 31, over.

Once the trooper initiated a conversation with McFaddon, things just weren't adding up. For example, when the trooper asked to see McFaddon's license and registration, he handed over a car rental agreement.

That may have made sense, however, the vehicle that McFaddon was driving did not match the vehicle listed on the agreement, nor did the VIN number match the license plates on the car, said the FHP.

As the officer ran a record check on McFadden, he learned that McFadden has a history of being arrested on drug-related charges. Understandably curious, the officers asked if they could search the vehicle. McFaddon said, "No" so the troopers enlisted the help of a drug-sniffing dog.

The dog "hit" near the rear floorboard, indicating there were drugs in a cardboard Barbie box. The troopers opened the box, where they found about one pound of pot contained within two clear plastic bags, NBC Miami reported.

McFaddon was arrested and taken into custody; he faces several charges.
