Grimes walked into traffic and continued after an officer commanded her to stop. She was arrested after disobeying the officer's commands On Sunday (Sep. 27), Miko Grimes, wife of Miami Dolphins cornerback, Bren Grimes, was arrested minutes before the game where the team lost to the Buffalo Bills. During the confrontation with police, she hurt her knee and arm.

She was released later that evening after posting $10,000 bond,

Police say she broke through a barricade and entered a restricted area. Grimes is facing charges for resisting arrest with violence, battery on a police officer, and disorderly conduct.

According to a police report, Grimes walked into traffic and continued despite the fact that an officer commanded her to stop. She was arrested after disobeying the officer's commands. The police say that she continued being combative, even after she was handcuffed.

Her husband, Brent Grimes is a Pro Bowl cornerback, and Miko is well-known throughout South Florida, in part due to her Twitter site where she frequently offers opinions about the Dolphins and their fans, and the NFL. She has nearly 11,000 followers on Twitter.

The police say that Grimes ignored the officer's orders to stop and she became belligerent and was screaming profanities. Grimes charged towards one of the officers, and when an officer grabbed her in a bear hug and took her to the ground, Grimes began kicking and attempted to get back up.

Once on her feet, Grimes was handcuffed, which is when she head-butted an officer. She was then forcibly seated on a police golf cart, where she continued to be combative until officers reached the police station. Once she arrived at the station, she was treated for her injuries.

According to NBC 6, her husband had no idea his wife was arrested until after the Dolphins lost to the Bills. Dolphins' officials are aware of the incident, but had no comment.

On Sunday, the Dolphins lost to the Bills 41-14. GET AN EXPERIENCED ATTORNEY ON YOUR SIDE Were you recently arrested in Miami? Call Donet, McMillan & Trontz, P.A. for a hard-hitting defense! We proudly serve clients throughout Miami, Miami Beach, Broward County, and Ft. Lauderdale.
